JP1 Remotes

I have a silver Comcast remote that has the 6 pins for JP1. The label next to the pins says JP1.1 . It has 3 device buttons (Aux, TV & Cable). I was trying to "Download from Remote" option with my JP1 Parallel cable but I'm getting an error message all the time saying that it can't connect. Is this remote programable?

That is a JP1.1 or possibly JP1.2 remote. It will not work with a JP1 cable. You will need a JP1.x or maybe JP1.2 cable. What is the model number exactly? There should be a sticker in the battery compartment with a model number.
