JP1 Remotes

Is there any way (with a meter) to test if my port is putting Out enough power? Which pin do i test, when etc...?

I've been troubleshooting another issue with a parallel port on one of my PC's, as it won't work with the JP1 cable (two other older PC's work fine though). Found this site with lots of info regarding the parallel port. Perhaps it will help?
