JP1 Remotes

Wondering where i can find a USB 1.2 cable for my atlas 1056 (jp1.3). Cant seem to find one. Also is there somewhere i can buy a jp1 remote to use with my home built cable..when i say buy i mean purchase locally etc. Thanks in advance, you guys have been great.

You will not find any JP1 products in any brick and mortar store (i.e. Circuit City or Radio Shack) anywhere. This a purely hacker/DIY project, which SOME choose to sell via the internet.

For the cable Capn is right. You won't find any locally probably ever. The best spot to order one is probably http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9405

As far as the remotes go they are available in some stores, walmart, radioshack and others but the jp1 remotes are older remotes now and may not be available in stores. All the current Radio Shack remotes are jp1.x as far as I know. If you are looking for a specific jp1 remote I'd recommend checking Amazon.
