|
|
I have started with JP1 today - its fantastic - real easy to setup
I used IR 7.09 with remote master 1.83 for my new URC-7555
First I learned all the codes and entered them into RM. Then I copied the data to the Devices in IR and assigned the new code to VCR.
When I upload the learned codes to the remote everything is OK.
BUT
I cant upload the device upgrade. The remote just does not react with any VCR button.
What am I doing wrong?
just at the very end it does not work - this is frustrating
By the way, why cant I upload with RMIR? In the menu its grey while the Download is black. Also the KeyMoves are gone in IMIR - while in IR they are OK.
What should I use IR or RMIR to upload to the remote`?
Thank you so much for help..... |

It will be much easier to figure out what's wrong if you upload your IR file and the upgrade file from RM to the Diagnosis Area and then post the link to your file so that people can find it easily.
BTW, welcome and hopefully the frustration will go away soon and you'll be amazed at what can be done with these remotes.

RMIR is really still in beta and wouldn't be recommended for some one just starting out.
As for the other questions it's best to upload your IR download with the learns in it and the RM file you created to the files section and link to it so we can look at the files. You probably missed something simple but there are literally dozens of things it could be. |

Hi Clara, you filled out your RM sheet incorrectly.
For some reason you used Device 0, Subdevice 0, parameter 20, or at least that's what my RM says. You need to set Device to 80, delete the subdevice and parmeter that you put into the file.
One thing to keep in mind, A blank is not the same as a zero.
Good Luck |

The learned signals say they are NEC1 device 80 and in the upgrade file, it is set to 0.0. Try changing the device to 80, leave the subdevice and parm blank. |

Many thanks - that's it - now everything works well.
By the way - why are certain buttons "Key moves"?
Is it defined by the remote?
What does that mean if they are key moves - except that I have to assign one DEVICE button?
I guess I did not really understand the sense behind "key moves"
But again - many many thanks -
I finished the cable only today and would have never thought that programming is so easy... |

Yes. For each device type, there's are defined set of keys that are part of that mode. If you want to use other keys that are not supposed to be in that mode, RM will use key move to that it can be defined in that mode. You can see in RM's "Buttons" tab what keys are part of the device type. Ones with asterisks after the key names are not part of that device type and will be defined as key moves. Others without the asterisks won't need a key move to be assigned a function. |

Changing your device type to Cable in RM will result in no keymoves in this case. After making this change and pasting in the device, you can delete the existing key moves. |
