Just got a new PC and no parallel port. I am very proud of my JP1 cable, (i can barely solder) so I hate to get rid of it. Is there a parallel PCI card or USB adapter that the parallel JP1 cable will work with.
thanks |

Yes, probably about any PCI Parallel card will do. I'm using the house brand Compusa one in Vista with no problems. You'll just have to look in device manager to get the address to enter into IR.
On the other hand, USB parallel adapters will NOT work. They are usually just print servers which don't allow the low level access that IR needs. |
