These RDF's are compliant with IR Version 6 & 7 and RemoteMaster(RM) V1.70 or greater
NOTE: KM does not require RDF's

RDF's for RM and IR

NOTE: If you are using the above set of RDF's with RM you will need this full set of Maps and Images below.

Full set of RM Maps and Images

All Maps and Images for RemoteMaster

If that link doesn't work, here's a mirror copy:
http://www.rockabilly.net/files/tools/RM_Maps-and-Images_1.28.zip

CHANGES:
1) Added all the RDF's from the individual folder that are functional.
2) Added Maps and Images for additional remotes.
3) Added multi image capability for Kameleon remotes
4) Fixed a number of errors that were found since the last update.

Special thanks to kupakai for all the time and effort he put into the creation of the maps and images for the multi image capability.

You can selectively add the RDF's, Maps and Images you require however, if you choose to replace all, first remove and backup your old ones to eliminate conflicts with name changes.

NOTE: If you find any problems please let me know and I will update ASAP

The 10631063 doesn't have the alternate/standard keyboards, and has bad protocol information.

I can fix that. Since there are so many changes in the release I expect a 1.29 release soon.

Also could you remove the 10251025 (Atlas 5-Device Day), That one is obsolete. The other 10251025 adopts the new naming convention for the Atlases and has some corrections about the alternate keyboard settings etc.

Done for the next release.

Keep those cards and letters coming. Nothing like a good cleanup.

Maybe it's me, but I can't get any of the Kameleons for which there are multiple images/screens to display properly in KM. I get nullpointer exceptions and no image displayed for the 6690, 6692, 8204, 8206, 82010 - there may be others.

Am I doing something wrong?

Assuming you mean RM not KM what that message means is that the Image folder is not set correctly in RM. open the RemoteMaster.properties file and see where it is pointing and see if that is where you have the images. If there is not a pointer to images then it is looking for a folder below the one RM is in called Images

Also on the ET80ET80 URC-8550 Extender, could you bring the _v2 inside the parenthesis, so it shows up in RM? Or is that outside so it doesn't need separate maps and images?

In this case it was better inside so I changed it just now.

I'm getting the same pointer issues as the Capn. Here's my properties sheet for remotemaster.

Code:
#Mon Jan 28 10:43:17 CST 2008
RecentUpgrades.0=C\:\\dscape\\JP1HELP\\RCA RT2300 -RT2500 Receivers URC-1067.rmdu
Remote.name=URC-8060 Kameleon Extender 1
RMBounds=0,0,812,584
KMBounds=0,0,802,612
RDFPath=C\:\\dscape\\JP1HELP\\RDF
UpgradePath=C\:\\dscape\\JP1HELP
IRPath=C\:\\Program Files\\hifi-remote\\RemoteMaster
ImagePath=C\:\\dscape\\JP1HELP\\maps
Remote.signature=KAM1KAM1

I downloaded all the images to a directory that is not below remotemaster, I'm using Windows Xp, but in preparation for moving to vista, I've made a habit of not storing changeable data in the [Program Files] directory as you get into that whole 'data store' issue, where you get multiple copies and the data is impossible to find.

But in this case I'm not getting a null pointer on these particular images.

I'm pretty sure my pointers are correct (unless there are more than one for image and map files). All of the images and map files are in the same folder, and most other remotes display fine in RM (not KM, of course, good catch Embarassed ). In fact, I just deleted both folders, re-unzipped your new ones, and RM forced me to set the pointers.

Here's my admittedly simple test:
I open RM to the layout tab,
I highlight the remote field - selecting the first remote on the list (Anthem),
I use the down arrow key to sequentially select each successive remote in sequence and simply cycle down the list of remotes.
Most display an appropriate image but....

I get the nullpointer exception (and no image displayed) for the following remotes:
    Atlas 30323032 (both 1055 and 11055 variants),
    Both Charter remotes,
    Kenwood R0905,
    RS 15-2138 Kameleon (normal and extended),
    URC-6690/6692 Kameleon,
    URC-6960/6962 (normal and extended),
    URC-8040/8060 (normal and extended),
    URC-8203/8204/8206/82010,
    URC-9960 (all variants)

I suspect some sort of RDF-MAP file mismatch, but cannot be certain.

Funny. I get through the entire list by doing the same thing just cursor down through it.

My directory structure is:

c:\jp1 (this is where IR and RM executables are)

c:\jp1\rdf (where all the RDF's are.)

c:\jp1\Images (where all the maps and images are)

c:\jp1\RM Upgrades (where my RM files are)

c:\jp1\IR Devices (where my IR fies are)

Now, by default RM expects the RDF and maps/images to be where mine are so so my properties file is kind of limited. My properties file looks like the following after I deleted it and opened one upgrade.

Code:
#Mon Jan 28 12:14:30 EST 2008
UpgradePath=C\:\\JP1\\RM Upgrades
RecentUpgrades.0=C\:\\JP1\\RM Upgrades\\Comcast URC1067 Grey Olevia 337H TV.rmdu
RDFPath=C\:\\JP1\\rdf
KMBounds=184,53,948,723
Remote.signature=CS301009
Remote.name=Comcast-URC-1067

I noticed Vicky's RM is in the Programs folder which I think is generated by the windows installer so I wonder if there are some differences in it and pure Java.

If you could try my directory structure it may help debug it. If that does not do it then it is possible something else is corrupt and we can start over.

This is just an after thought and probably a very dumb question since you both follow the directions better than I do but did you remove all the old RDF's maps, and images before installing the new ones?

If any of the old RDF's are there it could fail since things they reference in the old maps my not be there any more.

Wow, where did that not come in, I mean I am having those same issues.

What should I be looking for in the RDF?
