Question about my remote

I have a 1067BG3 remote from Comcast. Does anyone know if this is a JP1.1, JP1.2 or JP1.3? I didn't see this remote anywhere in any of the forums. Has anyone had any success with this one?

Thanks for the help! :D

There is a JP1.2 version and a JP1.3 version. I can't tell from your data which it is. But vickyg has just built an extender for this memory-challenged remote.

Download from it into IR and IR will tell you (even if you only have a Raw Data tab) what the remote's signature is, and then somebody can help you, likely.

Well, my real question is what cable I need to get. So should I just get the JP1.x to cover all bases?

Thanks again!

Since it's either a jp1.2 or jp1.3 device the cable is the same either way.

You're best off with a JP1.2 cable, which accomodates both JP1.2 and JP1.3 remotes. The JP1.X cable, built to work with JP1.1 and JP1.2 remotes has some ... challenges, shall we say, with JP1.3 remotes. It CAN be made to work, but requires some effort. And since JP1.1 remotes are extraordinarily rare, the JP1.2 cable is for you.

When you download from the remote, it will tell you its signature, and it really won't matter if it's a JP1.2 or a JP1.3 as far as using the tools goes.

If it has a RED Ok/select button, then its probably the JP1.3 version.

The 1067 comes in a Jp1.1, JP1.2 and JP1.3 version.
Look at these
Comcast remotes

If your remote looks like the one on the 1067Bx3, its a JP1.3 remote. Its can be identified by the red/ok select.

If your remote looks like the 1067A, then your remote is most likely a JP1.2 remote.

The comcast on Demand 1067 comes in a JP1.1 version, and I haven't seen any JP1.2 models

The comcast on Demand 1057 URC-1057BG0 =JP1.1 and URC-1056BG1 =JP1.2,

I haven't seen any 1068As.

Every JP1.3 remote that I have encountered has been marked as such near the JP1 connector.

I've tried to get a good sampling.

Yes, it does have the red button. I exchanged my other remote for this one because apparently this is the only one that will work with my Olevia TV. Imagine my surprise when this one didn't work either. So after doing a little research, I stumbled onto this web site in hopes that I can get it working.

Well mine says JP1 and anything after that is cut off by some plastic, so I can't tell.

Can we post pictures on this site? If so, I'll post one.

Thanks again!

I'm 99% certain that you have the newest JP1.3 model. The 1067-Bx3 format seems to indicate that. I've got some of those for sale in the market place. I also have 6 used JP1.3 comcast, that I need to unload, cheap.

The red select button is a pretty strong indicator that this is a jp1.3 remote and it does have some olevia codes listed in the manual unfortunately code 1610 which is needed to control all the 2/3/4/5/7 series olevia tvs is not one of them. If you are willing to purchase a cable you can definitely get this remote controlling your tv. I've got an older model controlling my 537h with a cable.

The only Cable Co remote that comes with a code 1610 for the newer olevia tvs I've seen is the new Atlas Ocap remotes.

I do have one more of the OCAP atlas's for sale if your interested you can PM me about it.
