PVR Config not complete

While I wait for my JP1 cable, I wanted to set up my LIRC with my HTPC setup. I have a serial IR receiver that will accept almost any codes.

So with my Kameleon URC-6962, I found that the Proscan code for PVR/Sat combo seemed to have the most keys needed for my HTPC. What it doesn't have is the Vol+ Vol- keys. They seem to be mapped to the same function.

Here is the header to my lirc config file for my HTPC:

Code: Select all

  name pvr0392
  bits 24
  flags SPACE_ENC|CONST_LENGTH
  eps 30
  aeps 100

  header 4017 3949
  one 530 1958
  zero 530 963
  ptrail 529
  gap 64251
  toggle_bit_mask 0x0

      begin codes
          Ch+ 0x72D8D2
          Ch- 0x72C8D3
          Last 0x7278D8
          Vol+ 0x7FF800
          Vol- 0x7FF800
          Mute 0x73F8C0
          Guide 0x71A8E5
          Info 0x73C8C3
I tried to learn the vol+ and vol- from my Hauppuage remote and even my TV remote, but the remote type must be different because learning wasn't possible with the above config.

If I set it to Hauppauge (1408) many keys are inactive like Guide, etc.

I'm sure there is a way to program a key with a compatible code, but I don't know how to do it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I'm not sure what question you're asking.

You learned signals from some remote (I guess some setup code in your URC-6962) into your LIRC system?

But some kind of VOL punch through was active, so the VOL keys were from some unrelated device that either couldn't be understood by LIRC at all or at least couldn't be understood within the context of that PVR code set.

I think you want to know how to program the VOL keys on the 6962 with signals that are compatible with the rest of the signals but with unique values. Is that right?

An EFC KeyMove would be the easiest way to do that. I still don't have EFC KeyMove instructions for the 6962 handy (your other thread hit that same question). But I expect they're around here somewhere.

You'd need to either figure out or guess what EFC numbers would give unique LIRC values. It could be figured out, but I expect guess and check would take less effort.

You are correct - so EFC key move would do it. I'm still not sure I know what that is but I will do some searching around to see what I can figure out.

I selected a code for PVR that seemed to have the most active keys. Vol+ and Vol- don't work though. There's no volume punch through or anything like that -- my HTPC have amplified speakers and controls the volume as well. All I want are compatible key commands that I can set the remote to use.

Thanks

In ordinary OneForAll remotes the EFC keymoves are section 16 here
http://www.hifi-remote.com/manuals/rs-l ... 4#keymove2

It's probably similar in the 6962
