Sorry...I have the exact same setup on both...on the 8810 it's etup code 1023.
But it still doesn't work....very strange indeed..I may just do a total reset and reload everything... |

Tried what with two different remotes?
The 8810 has no setup code RCVR/0013. If you want to use that setup code you need to load an upgrade for it.
In the 7800 the EFCs must work, so I assume some operator error in their use (though I don't know what error):
1) The right device mode must be selected.
2) Short press and release of the Set (or Magic) key.
3) key in the three digits. It helps to hold the third digit longer and the remote should be aimed at the device while you press that third digit. The actual signal is sent only while that last digit is pressed. |

so when you press the "RCVR" device button, then the "1" button, it does not work?

Neither an EFC keymove nor the manual method of sending an EFC will work with setup code 1023. |

johnsfine - what I mean is that with either setup code (7800 vs 8810 respectively) I can't get it to work...I always follow the same procedure as you have described for testing EFC's. |

And what John was trying to clarify is that the URC-8810w doesn't have the RCVR/0013 code, so unless you add that code as an upgrade, the EFCs in question won't work. You mentioned the RCVR/1023 code in passing as though you could use the EFCs with this code instead, and the answer is... you can't.
Also, you still have cleared up the issue of out of date software. Could you please clarify what version of IR.exe you are using (the answer should be 4.01) and could you also verify that you have DecodeIR stored either in your system folder or your IR.exe folder.

OK, I have another idea. use your 8810w to learn the signal your 7800 is sending that does not work but should work; then learn the signal your 7800 sends that does work. post the results.
in another thread, a fellow was having a problems with RC5x protocol, and it turned out that the 740 version of RC5x was not correct in the tools and that he was doing everything correct.

End
the "1" is 192, the "2" is "052" using pioneer/165

IR version 4.01
DecodeIR version 2.05
The EFC's reported were reported the same by IR in the 7800 and the 8810...in other words both set up codes reported the same EFC's.
On a separate note..I happen to be a Delphi programmer as well and I was very pleased to see IR in Delphi  |

Here is an IR.txt file you can just load into IR and upload into your 8810w directly: RIGHT CLICK HERE
("RCVR" "1" and "RCVR" "2" are the only defined keys)

Did you do the 981 reset?
There are several things that can cause problems and this should eliminate those possibilities. It also sounds like you are using the button push method rather than assigning in IR.
As John mentioned you had key moved AUD_0013 EFC 192 to the 1 key on the RCVR device.
I loaded your IR file in my URC-7800 and that command is transmitted perfectly.
BTW, did you try the 8-key that is EFC 052 and it also works perfectly on my URC-7800

I take that to mean that you tried learning the signals using both the 7800 and the 8810 and that the learned signals were reported as using the same codes by IR, this is to be expected.

Yet this part of the sentence again leads me to believe there's something here that you're just not getting. What "setup codes", we're talking about learned signals here. I assume you're referring to the RCVR/0013 code again, which as we've repeatedly said is NOT PRESENT in the 8810, so I'm at a loss as to what "both setup codes" means. You could possibly be referring to the 1023 code in the 8810 which as we've also pointed out, doesn't accept EFCs!
