I'm using the "Comcast DVR URC-1067Bx3 JP1.3" RDF file in IR and trying to create a BluRay device upgrade with RM - but I can't find the same remote in RM. I'm assuimg that's because I don't have the image file. If that's true, anyone know where I could pick one up? Or, maybe suggest a work around?
I thought maybe I could select a similar remote (The Comcast-URC-1067) and then create my own KeyMoves in IR, but the device upgrade doesn't seem to transfer correctly.
Thanks

You don't necessarily need the map and image file for the remote to work with RM, as long as you have the RDF file for it. You can do the key assignment using the BUTTONS tab. You should still select the JP1.3 version of the RDF in the and not the URC-1067 in RM and you should get a working code to copy to IR.
If you are not seeing "Comcast DVR URC-1067Bx3 JP1.3" in the REMOTE pulldown menu in RM, maybe you don't have the RDF in the place where RM is looking for. Do you have the RDF for the remote in the same place as where other RDF's are?
If you want the map and image files for the 1067bx3, though, I can work on it tonight and post it as soon as it is done.

Thanks for the response!
In fact, I'm not seeing the "Comcast DVR URC-1067Bx3 JP1.3" in the REMOTE pulldown menu in RM. I've tripple-checked that the RDF file is in RM's RDF folder, and I've opened the properties file in the root directory with notepad to verify that RM is looking in that folder for the RDF file.
The only conclusion I can come to is that it's compiling a list of remotes based on what I have in my images folder - that looks to be true.
I've been going through the forum and trying to figure out how to make an image file - I'll post back here with my status in a little bit. If I'm unsucessful, I'd really appreciate your help. Thanks for the offer!
To others who read this: does this sound right? Does RM need an image file to let you work on the remote?

I tried it with the RDF file for URC-1067BX3 without the image file on my copy of RM and it shows up fine.
Did you close and reopen RM after installing the RDF for the remote? RM scans the RDF files when it opens and does not update its list until the program is restarted.

Hah. Strange.
I've closed and reopened RM many times - I've even deleted the properties file so it would be recreated when I opened it again. I'll try directing the properties file to a new RDF directory...

Interesting.
When I do what I just suggested, I get an error message saying that there are no RDF files in that directory. When I add a second, random RDF file, it see's the second one - and only the second one. So IR can read the RDF file, and not RM.
I'm copying the file directly from the IR RDF directory and not from the RM RDF directory, too.

You might want to check your RDF filenames as people who use IE7 to download the RDF files have underscores replacing spaces in the filename. RM treats underscores as a special character to distinguish slightly different remotes.

Thank. You.
That did it.
*whew.

Just a shot in the dark. Did you rename the RDF for the URC-1067BX3 in any way? Underscores are used to separate several different names of remotes with same RDF. IR shows it as one name, but RM divides them up.

I see binky123 already figured it out while I was typing.
