URc-8910 with Remote extender from URC-9910

Ok I understand the 9910 is the 8910 without the extender but If i already own a 9910 and I buy an 8910 will it go through the 9910 extender..
*****By extender I mean the box that come with the 9910 to make this remote rf capable**************

No, the 8910 is essentiall the 9910 without the radio frequency. The 9910 transmits a RF signal to its base station, to be translated into an IR signal. The 8910 doesn't have the RF capability.

No, there is RF circuitry in the 9910 that is missing from the 8910.

Ok so is there any other remote maybe even a 9910 without the extender.. i am just looking for a cheaper route to have more than 1 remote communicae with the extender...

All RF remotes from from UEI will communicate with same Rf basestations. These include the RS 15-1935, 1995, 2117. The OFA urc-8090, 9800, 9811 HT-PRO, 9964.
You may find the 9910 version one with donut ring cheaper the current 9910.
