This is kind of a dumb question...but wondered if any of you guys had any ideas.
I just made a JP1.2/3 cable yesterday, the version that uses transistors. Everything works fine, the problem is that my circuit is too long/bulging to fit in any 9 pin connector hoods I've found. If only they were slightly longer, they might work.
You would laugh if you saw my "circuit", I'm an amateur and I charged on through with no circuit board, just solder-blobbed all the components together. I made it more sturdy by wrapping it in electrical tape, but a hood would make it a lot easier to unplug. I've considered cutting & joining two hoods or something but was looking for a (cheap) commercial solution first...
//edit: I finally found this after coming across the term "backshell" and using that to search...I think it may work, especially if I leave the back piece out:
