9. Partially working setup code? no
10. Learning remote question? no

looking for tristar mx box IR codes for input into sling box for remote operation of slingbox

Several cable cheater boxes respond to the codes for other cheater boxes, so I would recommend trying some of the upgrades in the cheater box folder:
