|
|
Hello -- I am trying to use a JP1 remote with the XBMC and am not having much luck. It seems no matter what I try I cannot get the xbox to receive any signals from my remote. I use a URC-8910.
I saw instructions on how to do it on this page -- http://www.xboxmediacenter.com/wacko/ProgramJP1Remotes?show_comments=1, however they don't seem to be up to date with XBMC 2.01.
My question for anyone who has successfully set this up is, what does your keymap.xml file look like and what protocol/codes did you use to program the remote? Thanks. |

Hello,
first go here and download the URC manual if you don't have it.
You need to read pages 10-11 and 37.
37 shows you how to reassign a device key. Use AUX to operate a second VCR.
Then go back to p10.
code for xbox is 0522
It will work, I just did it.
You don't need this tutorial
The keymap.xml should be loaded under your XBMC folder originally, you can edit it if you want to change key around.
If you are using MC360 skin(pretty cool) visit here and download the latest keymap for that skin (Keymap v6.5) |
