If you have ever found yourself in a nasty predicament of not being able to fit a USB flash or some other USB device because the computer's slot is too small, or if you have ever broken the USB contacts to the motherboard by misaligning, and paid a ton to fix, this is the solution.
It's a little, flexible, 6-inch extension cord. Usual price is $5+ and unlikely to find in the stores. They sell it for $2 a pop plus $5 shipping so ordering many might make sense.

I have one of those, it came with the mouse, I carry it with me all the time and it has saved my bacon many times. On a staionary PC, these pigtails can stay attached to reduce wear and tear on the connections.

I know this is is off-topic, should it be in Hardware?
