Xbox RF interference with IR remote?

Post by CBMC »

I seem to have a problem every time I turn on my Xbox, my ir remotes don't seem to operate properly. I can get the remote to control my audio receiver if I get close, but It is a pain to get it to work. I know it is the xbox, because when I turn it off the remote controls the receiver strongly. My controllers are off, and I have a URC-9910 w/ rf. The problem remote is a URC 10820N. THe urc-8910 is not a problem because I am able to direct the IR sensor on the rf station right at the receiver, I imagine it would be a problem as well without the RF station pointed directly at the receiver. I have tried on 2 10820N with the same results. Anyone have any ideas or experienced similar problems?
