Current DecodeIR link needed

Post by ElizabethD »

When new acronyms KM, RM, IR, ECC, PB versions are made, the authors let us know via the stickies.
DecodeIR https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... ile_id=922 is an orphan. Could it also be included in the list. PLEASE. How else can we know of a change.

I understand that the notes there might be older than on the download site.
But is the version here always the current one?

We usually do.

What do you mean by "orphan"? The URL that you posted is a "punch thru" type URL which links to John's website where the actual file is stored, so yes, even if the notes aren't always updated, it's always the current version.

It's an orphan because when a new version is done, it's not in the usual stickies above, floated to the top, so we don't know there's a new version.

I understand the "punchthrough" part. But not WHEN to go searching :)

I guess you have to persuade John to make an announcement when he changes it then.
