I'm not sure if the template is needed for this question but I'll comply and put it here just in case:

1. Device: Samsung DTB-H260F
2. Type of device: ATSC tuner/set top box
3. Year: 2007
4. JP1/UEI Remote model: RS 15-2116
5. Do you have a JP1 cable? yes
6. Still have original remote? yes
7. Checked the file section? yes
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? yes
9. Partially working setup code? yes - TV/2000 upgrade from file section
10. Learning remote question? discrete on/off not on original remote

I have everything working using the upgrade that Rob posted to the file section (thanks for that one - it made adding this new device to my remote a breeze!). At this point I'm just leaving the tuner on all the time but if discreets exist I would rather use those.

I've searched this forum and the 'net and have found very little about this device. Does anyone know if discrete codes exist?

(Comment: It's customary to provide links to files which you are discussing)

It's likely that if someone who routinely lurks here HAS that info, it would be uploaded in a file somewhere, so it's unlikely that someone who IS lurking here just happens to have those codes. Not impossible, but unlikely.

I see 2 possibilities. If you look at your KM upgrade file on the "Code List" worksheet and sort by OBC, you will see that there are a few unused OBCs in the range 000-063, and NONE AT ALL used above that range, so it would seem likely that IF discretes exist, they would be in that 000-063 range, so you could simply TEST the unused OBCs and see if any of them do what you want.

My experience with a Samsung HDTV STB, however, was that their products are routinely TOADs, so your only workaround may be using the ToadTog Special Protocol.

I own a Samsung DTB-H260F HDTV tuner and did a manual search for discrete on and off functions. I did not find any discrete commands. Crying or Very sad
