Set a Delay in the Remote

Post by glw65 »

Is there a way to set a delay into the button code for a remote? I have a new front projector (Optima HD70) which goes through a shut down procedure. You press the power button once and then you press it a second time to shut it down. After the second power button push, the fan runs for 10 seconds prior to it shutting off. I have my system set to turn all my equiment off when I push the power button on the remote. If I do that now it shuts the power off to the projector before it can go through its shutdown sequence. Is there a way to program a delay in the sequence between telling the projector to turn off and telling the receiver to shut off. (The projector power is plugged into the receiver). Thanks for the response.

Here's the old fashioned way to add a delay...

If you need greater control over the length of time used for the delay, use the Pause protocol available in the Special Protocols spreadsheet.
