thats the current IR file i am using now. It has the TV/Record added only once but it all turns on and even turns the remote to Home Theater mode but the delay for the welcome screen is still to long for it to change the DVD player to Digital In..
Does anyone know how to cancel the Welcome on the Samsung HT-P38?
EDIT: I just timed it to see how long it needs to be delayed and it took 6 seconds for the Welcome to finish. It scrolls Welcome to Samsung Digital before you can do anything. |

In that IR file, you have redefined the "DVD" device key to a function in the Samsung device (see under Keymove, the fifth item. Is that intensional? |

I am not sure what you mean. It makes the DVD button turn the samsung to DVD mode... all of the keymoves minus the last 4 were already programmed in the upgrade that i downloaded... |

Does that actually work? AFAIK you cannot program keymoves directly to the device buttons, but you can program macros. So, if as I suspect, that keymove doesn't work, you could replace it with a macro that performs the necessary steps.

Just because the previous user chose to program the buttons that way, doesn't mean you have to. If you're not really using shift/CH+ and shift/CH- for anything you should delete those keymoves. In fact, what you should have done, back when you had the upgrade open in KM or RM, was to re-arrange the buttons to suit your own taste. _________________ Rob
