Hi everybody
just got a MaestroII for $9.99 canadian
Made a cable with an old computer cable. Tested OK
Then I got these messages. Can anybody help?
1st message: Bad checksum at address $0100. Expected $24$DB but found $8C$73
2nd message: Conflict at address $000E. Do you want to replace existing with fixed data
I answered yes
Where will I get the answers. On the site or my email?
After everything works, how do I program keys and macros?
Make it quick. after 3 months my wife still can not watch DVD's!

I would advise doing a full reset on the remote, then see if you can download properly.
With these old LCD remotes, to do a full reset, you first have to unlock the SERVICE menu. If you don't know how to do this, read the instructions in the Maestro II Manual on my site.
My guess is that once the memory has been reset, you won't get any more checksum messages.
