Mitsubishi PIDs 0014 vs 01A4 (TV/0150 vs TV/1250)

Has anyone else looked at the difference between PID 0014 and PID 01A4, or the difference between TV/0150 and TV/1250?

So far as I can tell PID 01A4 (TV/1250) is the Mitsubishi protocol, but with an extra .25 seconds of delay after every two frames (two frames with normal delay between, then 1/4 second delay then another two frames, etc.).

Have you seen reports of Mitsubishi TV's having problems that would be fixed by such delays (commands executing double, etc.)?

I don't use my Mits for anything but a monitor so I haven't had to deal with the double execution in a while.

When I get a minute, I'll give the 01A4 a try. I've been using the TV/0150 with the PID 0014 and it has the double execute.

I don't know if we have a JP1 version of 01A4. I was using JP1.2 (HCS08). So if you want to test that, I hope you're planning to use JP1.2 or you have either TV/1250 or 01A4 or a way to get them.

TV/1250 worked with my x820 remote. The 0150 still has the double in its current state.

On another note, this reminds me of the Dish Network Combo (JP1) vs the Dish Network (JP1.2). The JP1.2 is much better. The buttons are crisp. With the Combo in my 8810w, it required a longer press to get the command accepted.

As far as the 01A4, I'm not sure what parameters to feed it to create a custom upgrade.

No, so far we only have the HCS08 version.
