Ultra Simple Programmable Remote

I have been asked on several ocassions if there is any learning or otherwise programmable remote that has only a handful of buttons (6-8). These are to be used with a variety of projectors at a school. The replacement OEM remotes are overly expensive and even those have more functions then really needed.

I found a OFA "Zapper One" that is sold in the UK but no indication if it is JP1 or whether it would otherwise meet my needs.

Does anybody know of anything available?

One of those cheap Philips remotes? I think PMDVR 8 or something?

No, the PMDVR8 has way more buttons than my customer wants. I really meant it when I asked for 6 to 8 buttons (not 6 to 8 devices).
