how do I do a reset when running an extender

I'm using an extender. I have the 9910 remote. Is there some key sequence that will reset it to factory state, or do I have to upload my original saved state?
Save the extended file if it's good.
Remove a battery. Put it back. Do NOT press TV/Power.
Now you can use the Set button to begin the reset steps as described in a sticky
