Hi,

the second part of the Kreatel learned keys is here: http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=3475
Dunno what needs to be done next, but an executor, can I make that myself, or is that advanced Wink

I'ts pretty much something that one of the experts needs to do. I usually end up doing them but I'd be more than happy if another expert jumped in first (as I don't have much free time for remote stuff these days).

If you want to try your hand at it yourself, there is a help doc for Protocol Builder here:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/files/help/Protocol-Builder.zip

This executor will require a little bit of assembler code though because of the bit that toggles after the first send.

Hi,

really hanging out for someone to help me out here. I got no idea how to build this executor for my signals.
Would be worth a nice bottle of whiskey to me Smile
I realize I have no idea how much time it takes for an expert to do this, but I'll wait and see.

So this is the second half of keys I've learned:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=3475

and a bit up is the first part, already translated by Rob

tnx..

Try this upgrade in your URC-8910. It only includes the buttons from the first IR file as I haven't had a chance to decode the 2nd file yet.

Upgrade Code 0 = 6F D0 (Cable/2000) Kreatel (KM v9.02)
FF 00 8A E5 A5 00 00 02 0A 06 09 0A 0D 0E 11 12
26 19 1A 1D 21 2D
End

Upgrade protocol 0 = 01 FF (S3C8+) Kreatel (PB v3.11)
2E 5E 21 8B 14 86 81 10 08 08 00 A0 00 8C 00 A0
00 8C A6 A4 FF FF FF FF 07 F6 01 46 B6 04 02 8D
01 46
End

hm i feel dumb, stuck again.
I imported your upgrade into IR and saved it as kreatel.ir. Next to get it in the Sling I first have to make a .bin of this ir file, I guess by exporting from RM. But how do I import this kreatel.ir file. Or do I manually copy from the ir tables into RM??

Smile ok, just copy paste in RM immediately.. here we go Smile

Smile the first keys work from my Slingbox Smile

I saw that the '2' results in a '5' .

So 1 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 Up Down Left Right Guide seem to work now Smile

The rest is in the second ir, but the 2 will be missing in the end then.. I will relearn that one and upload that as last..

tnx in advance

I didn't intend for you to try testing it through the Slingbox as that would be kinda tricky without an upgrade file, I just meant for you to test it using your URC-8910 remote, then once you verified that it was working, I would decode the rest of the buttons and build a complete upgrade file, which you could convert into a bin file.

np.. don't mind to sort out some stuff.. I guess the 2<>5 is by mistake, when I look at your first decoded data? Or do you need it again?

I examined the remaining buttons that you learned and I have added them to the upgrade...

Upgrade Code 0 = 6F D0 (Cable/2000) Kreatel (KM v9.03)
FF 00 AA F4 1E EF A5 00 15 02 04 06 09 0A 0D 0E
11 12 32 39 26 19 1A 1D 21 1E 2D 36 36 42 49 45
3A 1E 41 3E 3D
End

Here's the KM file...
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=3486

However, there were several buttons that were not learned that well, so I had to do some guessing to figure out the OBCs, those buttons were:

CH+, rewind, stop, red, green

I looked into the '2' button, and it looks like you learned the '5' button to the '2' button, hence the duplication. I have guessed at the real OBC for the '2' button in the upgrade.

I have been treating the OBC as 8-bit, but now I'm thinking that it might really be only 7-bit and the last bit might be a toggle bit.

To see if this is true, could you learn the '2' button to 3 or 4 different buttons and then post the IR file. Try to avoid pressing any buttons on the Kreatel remote inbetween the learns for this experiment.

Hi,

learned a further set of keys, some re-learns of others too.
I have not had a lot of succes with the previous data, most keys are mixed up.. You gave me al link to KM file, but I use RM.. dunno how to transfer this to RM.
Also, when I have device upgrades, the first protocol set stays the same?
Cuase when I manually edited all the keys in order and description and so, I got an error when I wanted to choose the Binary upgrade export for use with the sling..
Anyway, the file is here: http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=3489

Sorry, but I didn't understand most of that. KM upgrades can be edited using RM just the same as RM upgrades.

I've figured out the OBC byte. The OBC itself is really just 7 bits, the last bit is a check bit, which is always the complement of the LSB of the OBC.

The one part that puzzles me is that the LSB of the main device code byte is complimented on the repeating portion of some of the learns. However, I have examples of the same button where in one case this happens and in another it doesn't, so for now I am going to ignore it.

I have added the last batch of buttons that you learned to the KM file, plus I have generated the codes for the gap OBCs in case you want to test them to see if they do anything.

I would recommend doing all your initial testing using your remote, then only when you're confident that everything is working OK should you bother trying to create a bin file for the Slingbox and test that.
