i recently got a URC 8910. I've gotton as far as building the jp1 cable and have downloded a few device upgrades and loaded them into he remote.

However, i couldent find an upgrade for my panasonic dvr recorder "DMR-ES15" As i was learning all the keys i get the "memroy full" error. I remember readed somewhere that i can consolidate the learned keys into a new device to save space. is this possible.

can someone point me in the right direction...

thanks

If you have downloaded files and modified them and uploaded them into your remote, you must already be at least slightly familiar with IR.exe and either KM or RM.

If you have read the read me's, then you should have stumbled across the section that describes how you can use IR's Learning tab to decode the learned signals, use those data to create an upgrade, and then not require the learned keys any more.

Take a look at the Learned tab after downloding from the remote, and you should see all of the data you need to build an upgrade. Then clear the learning memory, and learn another batch of buttons to decode, etc.

All the information you need is linked from Beginners - read this thread first, particularly "JP1 - Just How Easy Is It?"

In particular, the "JP1 - How easy is it" tutorial, paragraph 6.

Whether you chose to use the extender or not, has no bearing on the process of converting learned signals into an upgrade.

Regarding the Panasonic DVD recorder, there are several Panny recorder files in the file section, did you try any of them?
