I have a 8550 but don't works fine.
It`s only works at 0,5 meters of receiver no more.
I have changed the crystal and a transistor but nothing matter.
Anyone knows why I can do? |

1. Try fresh batteries. 2. The Topline does have 2 IR-LED's. It's possible that one is defectice too. You can check this with an internet camera or a camcorder, such devices are able to see the IR light.

Go close to a device. Cover one IR diode and press a button that should make the device react. Then cover the other and do the same thing. If the device responds both times, both diodes are working. If it responds only once, the diode left uncovered is working and the other is not.
