RS 15-2133 Modem Upgrade

Post by jrapp »

Hey all.

I have an RS 15-2133 (kameleon 6 function) remote that I'm trying to upgrade to work with my Roomba. I'm using the upgrade from the downloads section. Here's what I've been trying:
  1. Load the "irobot_roomba.txt" file into Keymap-Master
  2. Select 15-2133 from the remote drop-down
  3. Copy the "device upgrade" section to the devices tab in IR
  4. Copy the "protocol code" section to the protocols tab in IR
  5. In IR, I set the appropriate code (0999) on the VCR device in the general tab
  6. File, save...
  7. Export to WAV, then do an "Upload Wav to Remote"
and I get nothing. In IR, I'm using the RS 15-2133 0.5K RDF. When the remote wakes up, I get a single blink, but the code & upgrade aren't set. However, I can set the device codes to a preprogramed device, like my TV (0154). What am I doing wrong? Is this code not compatible with my remote? I don't have the original remote, so this is really my only option.

You can take a look at my IR file here

Also, here's my upgrade

Code: Select all

Upgrade Code 0 = 2B E7 (VCR/0999) iRobot Roomba (KM v8.43)
 60 00 1A AA A0 1D 8A 87 86 88 89 82 81 83 8B 84
 8C 85
End
and my protocol info:

Code: Select all

Upgrade Protocol 0 = 01 60 (S3C8+) Custom Protocol for VCR/0999 iRobot Roomba (KM v8.43)
 41 86 01 8B 14 C4 11 00 08 05 82 01 D6 01 CC 05
 76 5B 68 FF FF FF FF FF 03 8D 01 46
End
Thanks for all the help!!

That's the wrong RDF, you should be using the 2k RDF.

Sorry, should have mentioned that I've tried that one also.
