Kameleon URC8060 problem

Hi,

Have a couple of problems with URC8060

1. Key icons for teletext (TV mode) and play/pause/ff/etc (in DVD/VCR) mode are messed up - displaying some strange set of dots no matter which mode I select

2. Can't adjust brightness/contrast - entering 974 does not show any additional symbols and CH+- does not work

Any help really appreciated

Have you tried doing a 981 reset to see if that clears it? (I'm not hopeful, but it's worth a try). Be sure to make a back-up of your current IR image first.

Sure I did - but this does not work (your guess was right

). Strange enough when I press magic in TV mode it displays brightness/contrast icons in place

Still can't get EL brightness/contrast working (although working for TV).

Also - on these rew/ff/play/etc icons messed up - sometimes it shows OK, but looks like pressing any other button messes them up again. I am in real need for help to identify if the is HW problem.

Again, sorry for crossposting - but I am in urgent need for the info, there is no chance for me to replace this remote so the only opetion is to repair it myself (is this is achievable at all)

hi again - does anyone have schematic diagram for urc8060? looks like i've found some potential source of the problem, desperately need a diagram to move forward
