How to change skins for custom bin

Greetings from the newbie!
I managed to create a code for my RCA DTC210 from all the good posts, but I'm stuck on one thing:
How can I either 1) edit the default slingbox skin or 2) use a different remote's skin. I read where the old sbav.cfg is archived so that you can see which remotes have different skins, but what do I look for in that file?
My main problem with the default remote skin is that it shows the tivo controls (which I don' t need) and not the number pad (which I do need)
