JP1 Remotes

Just bought an 8910 couple of days ago. Programmed some macros, "learned" some codes, everything was good. Now, all characters on display light up on any key press. Remote works fine, just not display. Send in for repair? Thanks

Please save your IR file for use later.
Then do a total reset INSTRUCTIONS and just press the device buttons - is the LCD still scrambled when using the factory supplied stuff? If yes, repair might be in order. If not, then it could be some conflicts in your macros and/or learned keys. You might wish to post your file for the experts to check - see the File Section link above, then navigate to Diagnosis area.

Obvious, I know, but are you using fresh batteries and are they fitting snugly? since brief interruption to power can cause this.
