Trying to Use ToadTog and LKP

I'm trying to use the toadtog for my setup which includ 2 DVDs, A Mediagate MG 35, JVC amplifier and Sony TV. On TV (2000) Guide and Exit are discrete on and off codes, while on Amplifier (CBL 2004), Move and Swap are discrete On and Off Codes. I want to use Toadtog to Force On the Video Selector (VIDEO(ACC 1802) and VCR 2001.
Then I want a long press of DVD to power on the DVD, Power on the Selector and select 3, Power on the Amp and select Pause, Power on the TV and select Move and Power on the VCR and Select TV/Vid twice.
Same for CD and AUX. CD is 2 on the selector and Aux is 1.
Can any kind hearted guy help me. My file is uploaded to diagnostic area. Adrusa-setup.txt at this link

OK. I'm not gonna re-write your file for you BUT... a few observations/recommendations:
(1) There are "Notes" fields scattered throughout IR. Use them. Fill in some notes describing what each device and protocol upgrade is/does, and what each Keymove/Macro/Special Protocol Function does. This will ultimately help YOU in the long run to keep track of what you are doing/have done. It also helps anybody trying to help you. This will require you saving your IR file an .IR file rather than a .txt file.
(1a) You have a bunch of upgrades that don't figure in your setup. Delete them. They just confuse matters, and eat up your upgrade memory, which is extremely low.
(2) With the extender (and the way you have left the default device selection macros built) you are reassigning all of the groups of keys multiple times within your LKPs. On the "Long" side of AUX, for example, "AUX" calls the "AUX" macro, setting all keygroups to AUX, then two steps later, "VCR" calls the "VCR" macro, setting all keygroups to VCR, etc, and at the end of the LKP, all of your keysets are set to "TV" which I believe is NOT your intent.
You want to use the DEV_AUX, DEV_VCR, etc commands in those spots in the sequences, and FINISH with "AUX" to set the keys the way you want. Having written that, I suggest you will want your Device selection macros modified from the default, so that your Volume keys would be assigned to your AMP, your PIP keys assigned to your TV, your transport keys assigned to your VCR (or DVD player - as appropriate), or whatever you prefer.
(3) Here's is your current number one problem. Your ToadTogs are set up all wrong. Perhaps the readme is not clear, BUT... you cannot use the same toggle bit (in your case "1") for all of your "Force ON" functions and ANOTHER toggle bit (in your case "2") for all of your "Force OFF" functions.
Each toggle bit (0 through 7) can keep track of ONE DEVICE's power state. So the "Force ON" for the VCR must use the same toggle bit as the "Force OFF" for the VCR. Ditto for the video selector.
Next, if your TV and Amplifier have discrete power codes, you do not need to create ToadTogs for them, so delete those.
Second, using Guide and Exit for one device, Move and Swap for another, and shift-Power and xshift-Power for others is too confusing (imho). I would choose two phantom buttons for your discrete power functions - CONSISTENTLY ACROSS ALL DEVICES! Example:
shift-phantom 1 = Power ON
shift-phantom2 = Power OFF
USE THESE FOR ALL OF YOUR DISCRETE POWER ON/OFF functions, whether they are "natural" (like for your TV and AMP) or created by ToadTog (like you need for your VCR and Video Selector)
[by the way, do your DVD players have discretes?]
SO, I would assign the TV discrete ON to shift-phantom 1 for the TV, the AMP's discrete ON to shift-phantom 1 for the AMP, the Video Selector discrete ON (created by ToadTog) to shift-phantom 1 for the Video Selector device - CBL in this case, and so on.
Try some of the changes I suggest and see if it works a little more smoothly for you.
Thanks

Thanks. I will go through and see what I come up with.
