I posted this over at Remotecentral, but it might be better here. The link to remotecentral is http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/mb ... d.cgi?4862
Hey everyone. I've been trying to do as much reading as possible, but it's a lot to try to intake lol. I have a Kameleon 9960 and I'm looking for a couple of discrete codes if at all possible. I don't have a JP1 cable at the moment, is there a place that has them already assembled and everything so I just have to do what needs to be done without crimping and whatnot? I'm also wondering about the IRtoWAV and if that can transfer things like a JP1 cable could? Other than that, if someone can help me real quickly trying to track down if there are some input discretes for my HTIB, and HDTV.
First, I have a LG HTIB-->LGDVT418. It works on setup code 1293. I'm trying to see if there are discretes out there for AV1 Optical and AV1 Coax.
Secondly, I have a Panasonic HDTV-->PT-51HX42. It works on setup code 0250. I'm looking for the rear Input discrete codes.
If either of these are out there, or if anyone can give me some more information, I greatly appreciate it.

For the tv using code 0250 you can get all the advanced codes in the advanced codes area.

For the lg using code 1293 it may be a bit more to it. With it being a newer code and only seems to be in one remote. You could do an advanced codes search for efc's. Would be fairly easy with jp1.

Ok, I've done a little guess and check on my own, and I've put together a small start of an advance code list for both the Amp/Reciever code 1293, and the DVD code 1906. This is just a basic start, but going through the advanced codes, I didn't seem to find one that could jump me directly to a specific input, does that mean it doesn't exist? Anywho, here's just a rough start, I don't have time to get every button yet.

017-->Off
057-->Aux
118-->Volume Down
119-->Preset down
122-->Volume Up
123-->Preset Up
133-->Pro Logic II
175-->Sleep
180-->DVD/CD
225-->Sound
230-->Dim
246-->Power
250-->Mute
255-->Open

If anyone can help me find a code that might jump me straight to AV1 Optical or AV1 Coax, that'd be amazing. I can continue to work on these codes if anyone is interested, they work for BOTH 1293 Device set and 1906.

I suspect 182, 184, and 186 to be inputs of some sort.

I kinda guessed that too, but alas, no luck. I think I went through every code from 000-350. I didn't write most of them down cause I was really only looking for the inputs. Is there other numbers I should try or is it just not gonna happen?
Also, I'm looking to get a JP1 cable, but will I have to crimp and solder stuff or does it come all pre-assembled? I'm not much for soldering and whatnot lol.

The cable comes both ways depending on who you get it from. The kit has to be assembled by you the complete cable is already assembled. With your remote being 9960 if you didn't get it from Robman you will likely need a pogo adepter as well. Or solder the 6 pin connector to the pads like he does.

If suspect input selections to be present just finding them may be another story. With the device using nec protocol they could be one of a few variants of the protocol.

Hi Squati,

You can try these codes for the LG inputs:

Function: 187
or:
CD/DVD: 187
AUX: 057
Tuner: 233
TV: 069
Video 1: 063
Video 2: 067

If the device is capable of doing it, the codes should be in the 0-256 range...

Hope this helps :)

code 057 cycles through the various AV inputs as does 063.

Would I be correct in guessing that there is no way to jump directly to a particular input?

Also, if there is no way to jump to a particular input, is there any way I could program a macro to insure that my stereo got to the right input. I'm really only interested in having the stereo on AV1 Optical for my Xbox 360, and AV1 COAX for watching tv. I can just do it on my own, but my wife gets confused and pissed cause she can't figure it out, and then she just uses the TV to control the volume and gives up on the remote.

Does this LG have like a AM/FM button or something else that takes you directly to a particular input? The CD/DVD button you mentioned? Because that would be a nice startingpoint for a macro, then you can add "x" times the cycle...
