Hi Guys,

I've been using JP1 for over two years, and I absolutely love it. I currently have an 8811, but I'm always looking for new remotes (in case mine breaks Wink

There used to be a great comparison chart, but I can't find it anymore. The only link I found: (http://jp1.filebug.com/remchart.htm) doesn't work anymore.

I'd like to see the differences in memory size, and feature set. I know some remotes don't allow learning, etc. Can anyone recommend a nice comparison chart?

Cheers!

The only chart I'm familiar with is THIS ONE that I copied over from the old yahoo website a few month ago. I don't know who originally compiled it, nor do I have the time or inclination to maintain it, so it may be somewhat out-of-date, but as far as I know, it's the best we've got out there right now. I think one of the vendors (check the marketplace section) has a link to a similar chart on his site, but I don't know if that's kept updated, either.

For example, it does not list the HTPro (URC 9910 clone), the URC 9962 Kameleon (a 9960-clone with RF/IR blaster), nor the URC 9690 (half Kameleon, half-hard-button) that I believe are all JP1.

Also to my knowledge, there are precious few (if any) real JP1 remotes being manufactured out there any more, as UEI has gone over to the "dark side" of JP1.2 and Flash ROMs, so the only likely place to find these are using the vendors advertising here (I recommend our very own Robman for price, availability and service) or on eBay.

Good luck.

Look in the Marketplace Forum of this site.

I have compiled the chart mentioned above by Capn, but stopped maintaining it about two years ago.
I am willing to update it, provided forum members publish, in this very thread, what they know about their remotes and that is wrong, incomplete or not in the chart.
