Hello - just got my JP1 cable and linked it to my OFA 8810B00 remote. It talks fine and I can see the remote in IR.exe
I was looking around the files section and don't see anything that will work it.
The OFA tech support sent this:

Below is the list of codes for your device. When you try each code make sure you get a double blink. If you do not receive a double blink then that code is not in the memory of the remote.

DVD Codes: 1266,1831
RCVR Codes: 1846,1914

Mine did not double blink so I guess I need an upgrade. I have tried learning the codes in, but it doesn't seem to work (there is only one IR bulb so i am not even completely sure the remote learns)

I would like to get the units power button and function select (TV/DVD/FM) to work at a minimum.

Thanks,
John

If it happens that dvd 1266 would have worked it then dvd 0651 which should be in your remote will at least work some of the functions.

Whompus,

tried 1266 - solid blink as I type the last 6
0651 double blinks but does not appear to work (I tried basic DVD functions like stop, play, FF, FREW, pause)

Is there another DVD player that I can use as an upgrade that will control the HTS 3400? (I am not sure who really manufactures this phillips equip)

Thanks
John

Your 8810 is a learning remote. Follow the instructions in this thread
https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3943 to learn the functions to build an upgrade with.

If you have trouble building the upgrade post back with questions and when you do upload the ir file with the learned functions in it and post a link to it.
