RS 15-2103 not learning or using advanced codes (MHC-M300AV)
Hello there experts... I am new at this Universal Remote Control thing, started out with a One-For-All URC-6012B00, but wanted one that could learn, so now I have a RadioShack 15-2103. All of my devices (VCR-JVC, DVD-JVC, TV-Sharp) work great accept for the reciever I am using. It is a Sony Mini-Hifi-Component system. It is the MHC-M300AV. The only reciever code that the 15-2103 accepts is 0158, and this only enables: power on/off, volume up/dn, and function switching cd/tape/tuner/video. The functions I would like to use are: dolby prologic on/off, tuning presets +/-, and the CD controls. I found what I thought were the advanced codes for these functions under the 0158 list on this site, ie. 074, 070. The remote seems to accept the codes, (two blinks following button assignment) but the unit doesn't respond. I would appreciate any advice I can get. I know I dont have a specific question listed here, I'm just wondering if I am not entering the advanced codes correctly, or if this receiver is not compatible, as the 15-2103 will not learn from the reciever's original remote either. HELP PLEASE!!!
The learning memory of the 2103 is about 12 commands for the whole remote. To map advanced codes do the folowing:
1. device key
2. press and hold P for two blinks
3. enter 9-9-4
4. tap P for one blink
5. enter advanced code
6. pick a key
are you sure you have code AUX 0158 programmed and not 1058? Because AUX 1058 doesn't accept advanced codes.
