Hi! I was directed here by "the robman" - thanks to him.

I am new here, I dont know much but was referred here to ask such questions.

I am a developer trying to make a remote control for a TV set for use on a Smartphone via IR.

I can make low level calls and so on, can access serial/COM ports and send out signals - currently facing a technical problem but lets not get into that.

I am wondering if it is possible to send signals for a TV set which will accept them, assuming I have the hex codes for the program to send out the appropriate signals? I am sure it is, I can (I will try) to set the speed of sending the signals as im sure that is a major concern/part in this.
