9. I have succesfully used the code available for the 921, however I can not map the format/* key which is a new feature and is a must have for the 942. HELP. I don't have a learning remote so I can't just learn that key. What can I do?

Usually, when you answer "yes" to any of the questions in the template, amplifying information is helpful to the potential helper, like:
"Checked the file section. Yes" - and the results were......?
"Checked the Pronto File Section. Yes" ... and...?
"Partially working setup code. Yes" .... and .... what might it be? ... a link, perhaps?

Anyways, according to THIS FILE for the Dish 921 (of which there are MANY Dish PVR upgrades HERE, format/* is EFC 110.
