i am a little confused and really need some clearing up if possible.
i have 2 replay tvs in the same room and ALL i want is to be able to control each one individually.
i have changed the lock out codes they are as follows
i do have the replays lock out codes set to different numbers one is
left = remote lock out code 100
remote machine code 0
transparent HUD yes
right = remote lock out code 101
remote machine code 1
transparent HUD yes
i have been told this:
"The 8910 has a built in modem, so you can use the JP1 tools to create two seperate upgrades, one for each Replay, and then create a WAV file which you can play into the remote's modem."
but not sure how to do this.
i still havent figured this out either.
but i purchased a one for all 8910 remote thinking that was all i needed to control these units individually. there are 2 different codes, had to update by calling one for all. question: which button is everyone using for the replays, example vcr for one and SAT? which buttons work the best for this device?
i have figured out how to get the different buttons from my remote (like quickskip to the fwd button)
now i guess my question is this, do i still need to get the jp1 cable? does anyone have a wav file that i can try to use and upgrade the remote. if i do have to get the jp1 cable where is the best place? if/when i get the cable what do i have to do to get this remote to control each replay individually?
this is what i own:
tv - hitatchi
dvd/vcr phillips ( i think i have to set this up using 1 vcr button and 1 dvd button)
liteon dvd recorder
replay 5508
replay 5516
what is the best way to config all of these. the MOST important is the replays. right now i am using velcro on each eye and removing the velcro when i want to use it. it works okay, but i would rather be able to just control each unit (turn on/off) individually
you would think that the people at replay would have thought that people would buy more then on unit and make this alot eaiser. go figure.
any help would be appreciated. i am normally pretty computer literate, but this one is just a step above. once it clicks i should be okay......
thanks
