Anyone here know anything about the 15-2148?
The user manual is here
http://rsk.imageg.net/graphics/uc/rsk/Support/ProductManuals/1502148_PM_EN.pdf
and it certainly looks like a OneForAll from the programming instructions.
I was specifically wondering about testing EFC numbers, which obviously isn't covered in those instructions.
Do you use 3 digits, or 5 digits, or it doesn't work at all?
I was helping someone over the phone and thought I knew how to test whether it took 3 digits or 5:
Do a short press of P followed by moderately long (a second or two) presses of digits while watching the led. The first couple digit presses should cause short led blinks (much shorter than the second or two duration of the press) the third or fifth (whichever is right) press should light the led for the full duration of the press.
That test failed. Every digit press lit the led for full duration.
I've tried this test on several old RS and OneForAll models, in all cases easily confirming that EFCs are three digits. But I have no new models, especially no models with 5 digit EFCs. Can anyone confirm that my test is valid for newer models?
Also, his Akai TV (what he wanted help with) uses setup code TV/0824. Can anyone confirm or contradict my assumtion that TV/0824 in the 15-2148 matches what Rob has listed (protocol and fixed data) for TV/0824 in the 15-2142 and 9960B01? |

Bought the 15-2147 yesterday, doesn't acept EFc or even keymoves. Returned for the 15-2148, same thing, no EFC's or keymoves. say you have programmed for Sony Tv, tap P 1-2-3, sony changes to channel 123. _________________ Edmund |
