I am wondring if anyone who is good at this could help me, I have a replayTV 5040 remote and it works my TV code 0060 and my replay/VCR 1614.

My first question is that everytime i download from remote it says:

THERE IS A CONFLICT AT FIXED DATA ADDRESS $000E. DO YOU WANT TO REPLACE THE EXISTING DATA WITH THE FIXED DATA?

YES OR NO

Second can some one remap only 3 keys for me vol +, vol-, and mute to work my Harman Kardon AVR 525, i want the power to still work the TV

thanks for any help

The only way to split the volume and power buttons like that is to use the Device Combiner.

hmmm

RDFs are for remotes, I'm assuming the AVR525 is your device, you don't need an RDF for a device.

Hmmm

SHORT ANSWER:

READ THE BEGINNER'S STICKY (see the link below in my sig) AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE MYRIAD OF HELP DOCUMENTS. IN PARTICULAR, KM AND RM EACH EXPLAIN HOW TO IMPLEMENT THE DEVICE COMBINER WHEN YOU SELECT THAT PROTOCOL TO MAKE AN UPGRADE

Long Answer:
Step 0: Read the sticky post for beginner's (linked in my sig below) and JP1 tools. Then after downloading the tools, read each readme file that comes with each tool.

Step 1: From the Tools/Main area of the File section, download and extract/install KM or RM - whichever you prefer.

Step 2: From the Devices/Audio area of the File section, download the upgrade for your receiver (you have apparently found it)

Step 2b: From the Devices/TV section, download an upgrade for your brand/make TV - it is likely to match your TV/0060 setup code. You haven't said what brand it is, and I'm not gonna go looking through all of the files to find an NECx1 7:7 upgrade. (If you can't find one, build an upgrade using NECx1 protocol and device 1 and 2 both set to 7)

Step 3: Open KM (or RM) and open the upgrade you just downloaded

Step 4 (for KM): Note and record the Protocol ID and fixed data for this upgrade (you will need this info in step 9)

Step 4 (for RM): save this upgrade as an RM file (if it was a KM file originally) (you will need this info in step 9)

Step 5: Repeat steps 2-4 for your TV

Step 6: Start a NEW KM/RM upgrade.

Step 7: Select any device type and setup code number you want

Step 8: Select the Device Combiner protocol

Step 9: Read the protocol help and follow its directions for importing the previously-created device upgrade into your new DC upgrade. (Hint: As a minimum, you should have your TV/0060 and your H-K AVR upgrades entered). Proceed to create your upgrade and make your button assignments.

Step 10: Open the IR program, download from your remote.

Step 11: Copy the protocol and device upgrades into IR and assign the device to whatever device button you want.

Step 11 A: (possible side twist) I think it extremely unlikely, but ... in the individual device upgrades you are combining that you had open in KM/RM above in step 4, if they indicated a "protocol upgrade" required, you will also have to add whichever, if any, of those protocols that KM/RM said is NOT resident in you remote. The TV/0060 protocol MUST already be resident, since that device code is there. I'm not so sure about the H-K.

Step 12: Upload the new IR image to your remote

Step 13: enjoy.
