I have purchased the DLO homedock for my Ipod nano. I have tried the uploaded Ipod home dock files. I can't get them to work. I am using a Radio shack 2117. the only modification to the km file was to change the remote type. Am I using the wrong file or do I need to do something else.

Thanks for any help, Doug

I wouldn't think that the Apple dock and DLO dock use the same codes. Is the DLO even an IR dock, or is it RF?

I dont know what the dlo use. I am waiting on an iport for a customer here. I searched out and found codes for it here http://www.iportmusic.com/iport-freestanding.html

I decoded from the ccf and put it here. http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=3072
If you want to see if maybe the dlo use those.

The DLO has a ir remote. I tried to learn the remote codes but my 2117 just says error. Thanks again for the interest, Doug

I tried the above codes- it didn't work. Thanks for the effort.

I have tried learning with the 2117, 1994, urc8810-they wont learn any code from the remote

what is my next step? If I can't learn the dlo remote code with my remotes, do you think there is a remote that might learn it?

Have you learned using these JP1 remotes before? I ask only to verify that you know how to use the learning feature (don't be insulted, there are ALOT of people who don't know how to do it).

Your next step might be to see if UEI has a code for this device, if they don't they'd be happy to cpature the signals from your remote and create an upgrade for you. All it will cost you is the price of the postage to them.

Your URC-8810 is the only "officially" upgradeable remote in your collection, so that's the one that you should send them, along with your DLO remote.

Yes I have have learned codes before to make upgrades. How do I go about contacting UEI? After they upgrade the 8810 will I be able to download the info and upgrade my 2117?

There should be a phone number in your 8810 manual, be sure to ask them for the advanced codes for any buttons that they don't program into the upgrade. Once you get the 8810 back with the upgrade in it, download the memory using IR and post the file for us to look at. One of us will convert it into a regular upgrade file.

I will also see if one of my UEI contacts would like you to send the remote directly to him.

I'm glad it worked, but it also leaves me puzzled as to why you weren't able to learn the signals from the original remote, as this ugrade uses the NEC1 protocol, which is the most common of all protocols. Are you 100% sure that you had fresh batteries in both the DLO remote and the JP1 learning remote?

I was wondering that myself. The dlo homebase is brand new. I have 2- 2117's, a 15-1994, 8810 none would learn the code. I haven't tried but I am going to try and learn from one of the 2117's to the other the dlo code. I am going to assume it wont learn that either. I will mess around with the remotes and see if I can come up with any conclusions. Thanks again.
