URC 4021B00 question

Hello,

I have an URC 4021B00 and I would like to change one of the device types buttons.
This remote has 4 buttons: TV, VCR/PVR, SAT/CBL and DvD

I succeed in programming the codes for a Sony TV on the TV button and for a Philips DvD on the DvD button.
The thing I coldn't do is to program a code for a Sony Amplifier/Receiver.
I tried to program codes for the audio stuff under the VCR/PVR device type but that didn't work.

I see that the remore supports device types buttons moves for the existing buttons (so you can move a TV button to the VCR/PVR button) but I don't know if it suports asigning a new device type to an existing device type button.

So ....
Is it possible somehow to add a JP1 to this remote and to reprogram it completly OR
It is possible somehow to change one of the devices types from the buttons with a device type that is not contained in the EEPROM?

Sorry, no to both querstions. You may be able to get at least the vol commands, by trying some of the sony DVd codes, some codes are for bundles, separate DVD & receiver packaged together.

That's what I thought so.
I am going to try some Sony DVD codes since as you said, I only need the power on and volume functions.
