I have a OFA remote URC-7555.
With my serial JP1 interface i can't connect PC and remote.
The remote works with DC 6V. I tested with a Notebook and with e "realy" PC.
I tested the interface with a another remote (remote of SAT reciver Dreambox 7000) - it's ok.
Had the URC-7555 a another interface? Beside the JP1 plug is printed JP1.2
I can't find a rdf file for the URC-7555 - is the remote to new?

JP1.2 remotes are NOT JP1 compatible.

So if I have a JP1.2 remote (like my URC-6820B) I'm just out of luck? Isn't there a version of IR that works w/ JP1.2?

Yup.

Nope.
If you search the forum, you will find quite a bit of discussion about JP1.2 remotes. After you do this search and read the threads, perhpas you'll understand where we stand.
In short, it's a much harder processor to hack, and has not yet been successfully hacked.

Sadly, a JP1 connector (six pins or pads) just looks like a JP1.2 but everything from the wiring connections to the processor to the memory is different. Petrol (gasoline) and diesel nozzles (granted, they now color-code them most places) look similar but many have found out to their cost that trying out the wrong one just doesn't work. And if you think that's bad then try it in Spain with gasolina/gasoleo to choose from.
