JP1 Remotes

Hi,
This is somewhat a continuation of my previous post.

I've done the upgrade in KM and after reading these well written docs:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/jp1/help/#6, I can't seem to get it to work.

I've put the following into KM:
Remote: URC 6131 PVR Extender
device type: TV
Setup code: 1150
Button codes: EFC
Protocol name: JVC
Device code: 71
Protcol ID: 00 34
Fixed Data: 1D

KM produced this :
URC-6131 PVR Extender Device Upgrade Code:
Buttons: 10 of 33 (14 Bytes)

Upgrade Code 0 = 14 7E (TV/1150) keymap-master Device Upgrade Polaroid SPEAKER (KM v8.33)

I then pasted this into DEVICES in IR.

Note that I used 1150 as the setup code,that is because the only code I've found to work at all with this Polaroid TV is 0150 and then as per the docs, I added 1000.

I've added the learned info from the URC-8811 into KM that IR decoded. Here that is,(from IR):

The above codes from the original remote are:

DOWN
OK

But, none of this works,the 6131 still ONLY operates the ON/OFF,CHNL UP/DOWN, VOLUME and MUTE.

The purpose of all this is to be able to build a MACRO in IR so that I can turn the TV speakers ON/OFF with the 6131. (to start with anyway)

Can anyone see something(s) I've done wrong here ?

Did you assign the upgrade setup code TV/1150 to the appropriate device button on IR's General tab? Also, if your learned functions are on the same device as the upgrade, you'll need to delete them before using the upgrade.

You da man! That did it.

I had the TV/1150 at line 4 on the general tab in IR,
VCR-VCR/DVD-1150. I changed VCR/DVD to TV and that did it.

My learned functions are on the 8811 and I'm doing the upgrade on the 6131, not sure I follow you?

Now, I've got another question. The Macro is actually working but it's going a bit to fast for the TV to process it properly and when I try to add enough X-CANCEL's to the Macro to provide some delays,IR says 15 keys are the max but I need several more.

Is there any other way to produce a pause ?

I may have just found some things that will work in the 6131 Extender Read Me ( ofcourse).

I'll see if I can figure it out.
