OT: Daytek drd-s116m problem reading MP3 discs

I have a cd radio tape recorder daytek drd-s116m which is produced for Daewoo. It can read mp3-cd-s, but it always can't properly read mp3-s above than 128-144kbit/sec.
Is there a firmware update to make or a chip to change. Can You help me? Because it's difficult to recode all mp3-s I've bought and downloaded. And the quality gets poor.
