Thanks for your help. I've got everything working up to the part where you play the wav file into the remote, but for some reason the remote won't upgrade. The light stays lit steady for about 30 seconds then goes out before wav stops playing. Remote pickup may be bad.

I've never performed a modem upgrade for a remote before. But, I would expect that it works similarly to those old 100 baud modems that used cups to cradle the old telephone handsets. In which case, you ought to make sure that the listening part is right up against the audio source. I read somewhere that using rubber bands is helpful to keep it pressed against it.

Otherwise, its possible that the modem's "O" ring has gotten dislodged or maybe one of its connectors. In which case you'll probably have to pull out your Operation game board cause I think there's something wrong with the patient's broken heart. Might be better off getting a JP1 cable instead.

Your right, it's not worth it. I decided to take a shot at my old SA AT200-4 cable remote with a simple home built JP1 cable. Works pretty good.

Thanks for all your help. Smile

You're welcome. Glad to help. Sorry the modem thingy didn't work out for you though. I believe that you're better off with programming your remote(s) with the cable instead anyways.
