help with kameleon?

Post by jeh »

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum for this kind of question... but I wanted to give it a shot anyway..

I'm trying to program my remote to control a NAD reciever, from what I've read the code "0320" should do the trick... My 9960 won't let me program this code in. can anyone send me a wav file to program my remote? I would get a jp1 cable, but the only reason I bought the remote was to control this reciever.. and my grace period to return it is running out really quickly.

I appreciate any help that you could offer.

thanks!

There are 3 upgrade files for NAD receivers in the Audio folder. You can create the WAV file yourself using the JP1 tools.

none of them are the 0320 code... I can't seem to get the remote to translate the wav files correctly either, I play the wav, the remote listens. wav goes done playing. remote wakes up shorly after. but it still won't let me enter the code I added. any ideas?

You may not be getting good translation to wav.
You speakers might be sending some pops or crackling sounds with the wav.
If all else fails you can get the upgrade # in the sticky here
The only cost it would be is the call.

The only thing I can think of is remove a battery to see if it resets the backlight.

There are a few flavors of the 9960.
3 that I know of maybe more. I don't know if selecting the wrong one when you make the upgrade would cause that or not.

I think selecting the wrong flavor of the 9960 would get you to a .wav file that wouldn't load. I don't have any good guess about the backlight issue.
