well I tried adding the temporary device selection and I still get the stupid zeros popping up with every press of the FAV key...
at the moment all channel section keys go to the cable box except when I am in VCR mode, so the temporary cable selection shoudn't even be necessary
it would be nice to have but the setup is pretty good as is. It bugs me a little bit that I can't get it working tho... Maybe I'll post the file when I get home.
thanks guys

I hope I haven't missed where you're now. Assuming I have not:
Could you try a temporary, plain, macro, for instance on shift-someButton, using 0;0;5.
Does it get to 005 on the cable? Does it show 005 on your TV (if you expect that)?
If you still see a single zero, try inserting pauses between the digits (KM or RM has pause protocol, add it to IR). Would that make the plain macro work?
If all that fails, I'll be thinking signal durations for the CBL, in addition to your TV, might need a tweek.

dusting off this one...
it is indeed related the signal duration and delay. Any macro that fires a series of number commands to the DCT2224 doesn't work without large delays. I'll tweak it some more and post results
thanks
