JP1 Remotes

This unit has a JP1.2 jack, but when I try to read it using the IR program, it says the interface is not working. Am I doing something wrong or what?
If this doesn't work, I was going to try a URC-9911. Any help?

JP 1.2 I believe is the new chip and is not yet supported by IR. May be awhiles so go for the 9911.
